Hello Everyone!
We will have to admit that, each one of us has experienced boredom at sometime or the other in our lives. So how do we recognize boredom?
You feel weary and restless because of lack of interest and there is a low growing anger.
How does it manifest or show itself? It shows itself in the form of
restless body language, low tone of voice and other minor mannerisms.
Boredom is a state of mind where a person loses interest in what he or she is doing. The mind is restless and wants some exciting action but nothing seems to be happening. This state is usually experienced when, one has completed one part of a project or job, and is waiting for the another assignment. It could also happen when an event, has gone really great, and now all is calm and cool.
Boredom is that time in your life, when you are waiting for something to happen or are focusing on there being nothing "interesting" to do. So what can you do to counter it?
You have a choice, to either get constructive or destructive. If you find yourself getting drawn into boredom, try these quick tips to regain your interest:
Quick tip 1: Read a book that you put off reading because you thought it was too boring. You may stumble upon something worthwhile.
Quick tip 2: Listen to some lively music and dance if you feel like.
Quick tip 3: Try to look up some videos on how to make small arts and craft items, and try to make them.
Quick tip 4: Just take a big white sheet of paper and play around with some colors. Create a work of art.
Quick tip 5: Call and meet some friends, go for a movie/beach, or else listen to some motivational videos online.
If you don’t address this feeling, recognize it for what it is, and turn it around, then you may slowly start feeling Dissatisfied with yourself. My next article is on Dissatisfaction.
